AGPM: An Authenticated Secure Group Communication Protocol for MANETs
نویسندگان
چکیده
Secure group communication is a challenging task with respect to MANET’s, authentication of mobile nodes, group key establishment and rekeying for secure information exchange and QoS in data transfer. In this paper we authenticate the mobile nodes through transitive signature scheme in the routing phase of AODV protocol. For a secure group communication we establish a collaborative group key with the members participating in the route path to the destination. The nodes are dynamic in nature, in which any new node can join in the group or leave the group. Instead of performing individual Rekeying operations, it is performed at a particular time interval. Performance of the group communication is compared with the existing protocols. The analysis is made with respect to the throughput, rekeying time, delay, overhead and communication cost. The simulation result shows that our protocol enjoys greater advantage over other protocols in the literature.

Secret communications are important for many applications in mobile ad hoc networks. AASR (Authenticated Anonymous Secure Routing) protocol is mainly used to defend the attacks in Mobile ad hoc network. In our studies, the route request packets are authenticated by using Onion routing and group signature. Onion routing with the route secret key authentication message is also used which defends ...

The mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) is wireless and dynamic topology network medium, which may suffer from many open security criticism. The major issue of mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) is to send the data in secure manner from source to destination node in adversarial (opponent) environment such wireless node communication issues are node traffic, node attack and data accessing of intermedia...
متن کاملSecure Routing Protocol: Affection on MANETs Performance
In mobile ad hoc networks, the absence ofinfrastructure and the consequent absence of authorizationfacilities impede the usual practice of establishing a practicalcriterion to distinguishing nodes as trusted and distrusted.Since all nodes in the MANETs would be used as router inmulti-hop applications, secure routing protocols have vital rulein the security of the network. So evaluating the perf...
متن کاملAn Authenticated Transitive-Closure Scheme for Secure Group Communication in MANETS
It is essential to provide authentication on mobile nodes in group communication to ensure security and privacy. The nodes that are interested in participating in the group communication form Graphs (V, E). In this paper we authenticate the mobile nodes through transitive closure property of the graph in the routing phase of the On Demand Multicast Routing Protocol (ODMRP) that forms Transitive...
